Welcome to
Our French Vineyard.
LEAU-NEST-PAS-BONNE-A-AUTR-CHOSE
My father introduced me to wine at a very young age and he was a lover of France and it's wines.
His work took him there often and on one of his trips he returned with this delightful piece done in pastel by Georges Redon.
L'eau n'est pas bonne a autre chose
(Water isn't good for anything else)
This is why the French consume so much wine - makes sense to me!
Now I'm in the latter half of my life.
I have spent twenty years living in France, and my son, who is my business partner, was born and raised there.

I want to put new life back into a French vineyard that is having a hard time, and with your help it can be done.

The agent commented to me:

There has been a poor commercial strategy, which has led to poor results over the last three years.

This is one of the reasons the estate is looking for new vigour - and this is us!

Nevertheless, the vineyard can regain it's past production levels,
which were excellent,
if well managed.
Now don't get me wrong, I would not want to say that the management was totally at fault.
Having studdied the situation it was very simply a set of circumstances, that could happen to any business.
Covid 19 reached France in January 2020. The first lockdown started on 17 March 2020, followed by a second lockdown on 28 October 2020 and a third one on 3 April 2021.
Also, measures were imposed which included the closure of non-essential shops, the suspension of school attendance,
a ban on domestic travel and a nationwide curfew from 7pm-6am.

The pandemic must have played a significant part in disrupting production and also the owner was in his eighties at the time, say no more.
Welcome to this exceptional wine estate, a 19-hectare paradise in Organic Agriculture since 2015, located in the heart of the renowned Lot Valley.
